A barefoot sneaker is a footwear that respects the shape and function of your feet. Despite looking like conventional sneakers at first glance, our barefoot sneakers are designed in a way that you will feel like you were barefoot.
They have a wider toe box to provide more space for the toes, built with a very thin sole to allow you to feel the ground you are walking on, have zero drop and are very light and flexible for better movement and comfort.

I’m new to the barefoot sneakers world, what do I need to know before using them?
For those who have just arrived and are buying their first barefoot sneakers, first of all, welcome! We’d like to recommend wearing the sneakers with the insoles inserted until your feet feel strong and comfortable enough. Other than that, use them as you please, in fact, once a barefooter, there’s no way back, believe us ;)
Can I exercise on Plana sneakers?
You most definitely can! Plana barefoot sneakers are made for everyday use in literally any activity and situation.
Are Plana sneakers suitable for running?
Short answer is yes. Although the sneaker’s look is more casual, the sole and upper are built to withstand any activity, including running. Just remember that running on barefoot sneakers is only recommended for those more experienced with barefoot footwear.

Are Plana sneakers 100% vegan?
Yes! All of our products are 100% vegan. Plana sneakers are manufactured at the only 100% vegan shoe factory in Brazil. All materials that make up our sneakers, including the sole, upper, labels and laces, contain absolutely no components of animal origin.
Where are Plana sneakers made?
We source and manufacture our sneakers in partnership with the only 100% vegan shoe factory in São Paulo, Brazil.
Are Plana Sneakers produced under fair working conditions?
All Plana sneakers are handmade in one small factory in Brazil respecting the best practices of work ethics, aligned with environmental values that we believe in, and in accordance with all labor and intellectual property laws in Brazil. Each pair is crafted with maximum attention to detail and a lot of dedication.
The sole of our sneakers is made of almost 100% of natural rubber for flexibility and toughness.
Plana’s sole is the result of years of countless testing and development, designed and built to deliver the full barefoot experience while offering maximum resistance to abrasion, punctures and cuts.
All pairs come with insoles inserted. Our insoles are lined 3mm thick Ortholite® foam. For the more experienced, we recommend using the sneakers without the insoles for a full barefoot experience.
Product Care/Cleaning
How do I keep my Plana sneakers clean?
With a soft brush, water and clear soap or cleaning solution you can easily clean the entire outside upper and the sole of your sneakers, including the suede. Air dry at room temperature after cleaning. We do not recommend wetting the inside of the sneakers or drying them in the sun.
Are Plana sneakers machine washable?
No, they are not machine washable. Although our products are made with very resistant materials and are hand-sewn, we do not recommend washing them in the machine neither placing them in the dryer.
Shipping and Returns
We are proud to offer free worldwide shipping on all orders! Deliveries are handled by our logistics partners FEDEX, UPS, and DHL. All orders have a tracking number and are express, secure and insured.
*All orders are shipped on a DDU (Delivery Duty Unpaid) basis. That means that you may have to pay import tax and duty charges. You may be asked to pay these once your order arrives in the delivery country.
*Regarding orders placed in the United States, orders under $800 are not subject to import duties or taxes and can enter the United States duty-free.
Where do I find my tracking number?
Orders usually leave our warehouse within one or two business days. Once the carrier has picked up your parcel, you can track the order on the carrier's website. You will receive your personal tracking link via email. If you can't find the email, feel free to reach out to us at [email protected] We're happy to help.
How long does it take for my order to arrive?
Orders usually leave our warehouse within one or two business days. The shipping times depend on the country of destination. Most of the time, orders are delivered worldwide in 5 to 7 business days.
What if I need to return my sneakers?
At Plana, we make returns simple. If you are not 100% satisfied, you can return your item(s) to our warehouse in Brazil for a full refund within 14 days of receiving your order. Note that the item(s) have to be unworn/unused and be in the original shoebox to be eligible for a refund. You have the option to use our prepaid returns label for a fee (which will be deducted from your refund):
